A new year, new partners, and more to come in 2019

A new year, new partners, and more to come in 2019

Happy New Year from the Equitable Evaluation Initiative!

We are launching into the first full year of this five-year initiative with the generous support of three new Investment Partners, complementing an existing investment from the Ford Foundation. We offer a hearty welcome and gratitude to the S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation, The Irvine Foundation, and The Walton Family Foundation for their generous partnership. Learn more about why they support EEI here

We are eager to share more Emerging Learning, as our Practice Partners in Colorado have been busy. First, the Colorado Health Foundation shares a reflection on their “Rapid Cycle Evaluation Project”, an effort to deliberately explore how to bring an equity lens to a new funding opportunity focused on supporting youth resiliency in out-of-school settings.

Vantage Evaluation, their evaluation partner, has set a brilliant precedent for creating a three-part reflection series on how their experience is challenging and engaging their internal thinking and processes. Don’t miss the first in their series: "How an equity lens can shift your view of the world, and yourself.” We’ll be sharing the others in coming months.

In other news, EEI was honored to contribute an article to PEAK Insight’s Social Justice Philanthropy edition last month, “Data Management: Gateway or Gatekeeper to Equity and Validity?”, which has generated good attention among field partners. Please share and offer your feedback as well.

Last, but not least, don't forget about our search for a new EEI position: theDirector of Practice Engagement and Evolution. Please share this call for candidates widely.

There’s much more to come in 2019! Thank you for being on this journey with us.
